An Unexpected Entry

Here it is, then! An Unexpected Entry a.k.a. Episode Five of Indecent Descent. I've given it a separate introduction so it should be readable as a standalone even if you haven't read Indecent Descent. That's the theory, anyway. It's about the same length as each of the previous individual episodes - just over 34,000 words - so it's not really a short story.

I've put it up to read online already. You can find it here or here and it will be going live on Smashwords very soon, for those who prefer a proper eBook to read.

Here's the back cover blurb.

Bethan’s back from her first term away at uni; freshly-pierced, freshly-tattooed and now, it seems… freshly-bisexual. And what better way to shock everyone back home than showing off her sassy, rebellious, dreadlocked new girlfriend Emily? But when they visit her old school friend Jadie, it’s Bethan and Emily who’ll get a shock. And Jim might just have something to do with that…

Jim’s had his ups and downs in life; a parent at sixteen, an orphan at eighteen and a widower at twenty-four. Now, at thirty-five, he’s a proud father, a successful businessman and a trusted neighbour. That last one might not be for much longer, mind. Something to do with his, ahem, unusual relationship with the girl next door.

That would be Jadie. She’s heartbreakingly cute, disarmingly funny and fearsomely intelligent. Having grown up with internet access and all that entails, she’s also preternaturally knowledgeable – not to mention utterly uninhibited – about sex. In short, she’s the nineteen-year-old that every modern man secretly fantasises about. And Jim’s been head-over-heels in love with her since that rainy afternoon eight months ago when she ‘lost’ her house keys and ended up in his bed.

Since they’ve been together, Jim’s come to expect the unexpected. Even so, he didn’t expect to find her quite so insatiable when he went round to see her earlier on. He definitely didn’t expect Bethan and Emily to turn up and catch them, ah, in flagrante on the kitchen table. And, well, he would never in a million years have expected Jadie to invite the two girls to stay and… watch.

Is Jadie just not thinking straight because she’s horny? It wouldn’t be the first time. Or is she, once again, two steps ahead of Jim; that ferocious intellect of hers combining with her fierce love for him to take their relationship to places he could never have imagined?

Picking up where Indecent Descent left off, An Unexpected Entry tells the story – in Jim’s unique, luridly-explicit way – of another episode in his life where everyday reality and unlikely fantasy seem to have gotten mixed up. Veering unpredictably from the naively-romantic to the filthily-erotic, it’s an amusing, arousing and deliciously frustrating love story; a tale of sex and devotion in the modern, connected world where, to Jim, it seems like it can be all-too-easy to end up knowing too much.

The front cover image is adapted from a fantastic original work by Luca Sartoni under licence. His original was a far better composition, but I cut it down to obscure the identity of the model. It's obviously not Bethan, but cropped like that it really does look a hell of a lot like her.

New Episode Coming Soon

So, following that last post below about my uncertainty over whether I was going to write any more... yeah, I have bowed to the inevitable and started putting together another couple of episodes.

Both episodes are going to be about the sheer, unbelievable, craziness which took place around Christmas and earlier this year. If you had a hard time believing Indecent Descent... well, you'll never get close to believing one word of these two little adventures.

The first one will be out very soon; I've written up all the notes I kept in my journal for that one already. It's all about what happened when Bethan came home from uni, basically having turned into a bisexual emo-girl, and brought her new girlfriend Emily with her. I made a miscalculation; Jadie missed a text message and as a result we got caught basically with her bent over the kitchen table and me, well... behind her. That was a shock for Bethan. But what happened afterwards was more of a shock for me, especially when I found out Jadie's motivation for inviting the two of them to stay and watch us. True love does some seriously freaky shit sometimes, doesn't it?

The second one I haven't even started pulling the journal notes together for yet so it'll be a while before that comes out. I think I'll probably put it on Amazon so it won't be a free one. I kind of want to restrict the audience! It's going to be a boundary-pusher for me because it will deal with something which happened back in January which was a bit of a watershed in my relationship with Jadie. It will definitely include the stories Jadie told me about what Jess got up to with Caitlyn and Caitlyn's boyfriend at Christmas. They were the back story to what then happened with Caitlyn and Jadie and me. And Mr Purple. It was messy in every single sense of that word; physically and emotionally. Looking back now, it was just the start and I'm glad it happened, but at the time I did struggle a little bit with what we were doing, so I think it might be quite hard going back over those notes.

Watch this space, anyway. Once the next episode is published I will post again.

Am I Writing Any More?

I've had a few messages elsewhere and some questions on here asking if I'm going to write any more, so I thought I'd make a post on here to explain the situation.

The short answer is:
Possibly but right now, I honestly don't know.

The long answer is:
Despite what I said in the epilogue of Indecent Descent, I've actually ended up continuing with the process of keeping notes of all the things which have been happening in my crazy life. By all the things, I mean all the sex stuff, obviously. Of which there has, to my continued disbelief, been rather a lot. I can't believe it's been a whole year since the crazy holiday from Episode Four but it has. And, perhaps against the odds, Jadie and I are still very much together. And there's stuff we've done together and stuff she's done on her own which she's told me about and stuff her friends have done which they've told her about and, um, well, actually there's some stuff we've done, you know... with her friends... all of which have made it into those notes and would probably make for some more entertainment if I wrote them up properly.

The thing is, I just haven't had the time or inclination to turn those notes into anything more readable. Like I said in the book, I don't have the same motivation as I did at the start when I thought it was just a crazy flash-in-the-pan thing that would never last. Back then it was all about posterity, but the need for that has diminished. Plus, it took much longer than I thought it would to actually get to a 'finished' version of Indecent Descent. And yes, I know even then it's still a meandering, plotless, self-indulgent load of old cobblers but it took a lot of going over and re-writing and explaining to get it even to that state. I'm not sure I can be bothered with all that again.

Yet at the same time, I do kind of miss that process. And to tell the truth, it's been weirdly exciting - in a pervy exhibitionist sort of way - to know that thousands of people have now actually read about our exploits. Jadie says it's funny that random strangers are getting aroused reading about us. She says it kind of makes her hot, too. I know what she means, although as you know, I'm a certified pervert so for me it's probably to be expected that I'd find that a turn-on. I guess it's the same motivation that drives people to publish their private sex videos, or post naked pictures of themselves. Although, strangely, neither Jadie nor I are too keen on the idea of doing that. The whole publishing a story thing just feels somehow more intimate. Old fashioned, yeah, but also a whole lot safer. A whole lot more anonymous with the false names; a whole lot harder for people who really do know us IRL to accidentally stumble across our doings just by entering an accidental combination of search terms into the great Google machine.

So maybe I will put together a few highlights from the last year. We'll see. If you'd genuinely like to read more of this stuff, please do post something on here to let me know, or write something on Amazon or Smashwords or wherever...

Cheers

Jim

Deeper Down the Hole (Indecent Descent Episode Two)

This is the second episode from Indecent Descent. It's available for free from Smashwords or you can read it online at Short Fiction.

You really need to read Episode One before starting this one, or else you won't get the backstory and it won't make a lot of sense.

Episodes Three and Four, along with the relevant Intermissions and Epilogue, will not be published separately. You can find them in the book of the entire Indecent Descent story which is available from Smashwords or Amazon.

Here's the back cover blurb for Episode Two:

Jim’s done something bad. Very bad. The sort of bad that involves his teenage daughter’s best friend and the filthiest sex he’s ever had. Now, she wants to do it again. He does, too. But Jim’s scared that he’s falling for her, hard. Can he resist? Hell, no. Will he prematurely drop the L-bomb with unexpected results? Quite possibly. And then… could something bad actually become something good?

Jim’s life is complicated, right now.

It hasn’t always been that way. In fact, for a while it had been pretty simple. Until last Thursday, when he inexplicably ended up in bed with Jadie from next door. A girl who’s achingly pretty, fiercely intelligent and, oh, yeah, sixteen whole years younger than him. And who also just happens to be his daughter’s best friend. Oops.

That rainy afternoon, Jim learned more about eighteen-year-old girls than he ever imagined was possible. That they can switch between nervous shyness and louche confidence in seconds. That they can be dirty little voyeurs whilst revising for their A-Levels. That they can possess breasts of such impossible youthful perfection that Newton might just have been wrong about gravity after all. Oh, yeah, and that they can harbour a crush on their best friend’s dad for years without him ever realising.

He had a few preconceptions challenged about eighteen-year-old girls, too. They’re not all diet-conscious health-freaks. They don’t all shave themselves bald down below. They haven’t all lost their virginity years before. And they haven’t all been irreparably damaged by growing up with internet porn. In fact, for some of them – well, one in particular – easy access to all that online filth has been strangely… educational.

The thing is, we’re a week on now. And, despite being fully aware of how wrong it is, Jim’s completely fallen for Jadie. Badly. Like, head-over-heels badly. They’re meeting again and this time, it looks like it’s going to be a whole lot more than just a casual encounter for him. He’s got the shakes. Butterflies inside. However unlikely it may be, he’s pretty sure he’s in love again for the first time in a decade.

But what about Jadie? Is it all just a game for her? A bit of fun with an older guy? A silly schoolgirl crush? Or is she pursuing a deeper desire; a dream that she’s had for a lot longer than Jim could ever have known?

Deeper Down the Hole is the second episode from Indecent Descent; Jim’s engagingly open account of his guilt-ridden slide into moral turpitude. It follows on directly from One Rainy Afternoon – you really should read that one first – and details Jim’s second encounter with Jadie. Sometimes comic, occasionally romantic and always filthily, luridly explicit when it needs to be; it’s a story that will arouse you, amuse you and – quite possibly – enrage you in equal measure as you follow Jim's struggle to face up to what he’s done, what he’s doing, and what he still wants to do with his daughter’s best friend.

One Rainy Afternoon (Indecent Descent Episode One)

This is Episode One from my book Indecent Descent. It covers the first encounter I had, where I ended up in bed with my daughter's best friend.

It's available from Smashwords for free, or you can read it online at Short Fiction.

Here's the back cover blurb:

When Jim opens the door to his teenage daughter’s best friend – finding her alone, bedraggled and missing her house key – he assumes she’s seeking shelter from the rain. In fact, she’s seeking something quite different. And, by the end of the afternoon, her key won’t be the only thing she’ll have lost.

Jim’s seen his fair share of turmoil and tragedy. He lost his parents as a teenager. Became a father at sixteen. Lost his wife eight years later. And since then, he’s had to be a father and a mother to his daughter Kiera as she’s grown up. It’s not been easy.

But he’s had some help along the way. Kiera’s best friend Jadie has been with her since the girls were eight. Bright, bubbly and fiercely protective, Jadie’s been instrumental in helping Kiera to overcome her grief. And now, a decade on, the difficult times are behind them. The girls are eighteen: each beautiful in their own way, both happy and both looking forward to a bright future.

But today, on this rainy afternoon, things are about to get complicated again. Very complicated. Because Jadie’s been harbouring a secret for a while, now. She likes… watching. And when Jim inadvertently gives her something interesting to watch, things are going to take a very unexpected turn. And, suddenly, she’s going to become a whole lot more than just his daughter’s best friend.

This is the first episode of Indecent Descent; Jim’s explicitly detailed, self-written account of his decline into debauchery. Here, he lays bare the initial, slippery steps taken on a road that will lead him from respectable, devoted, loving father to morally-bankrupt, teen-deflowering reprobate. Erotic, amusing and disarmingly honest; it’s a tale of one man’s hopeless fight against irresistible temptation, and what happens when that fight is inevitably lost…

Indecent Descent

Indecent Descent is my first book. Quite probably my last book, too. There's four episodes and 170,000 words which cover the key moments from the most ridiculous seven months in my life, beginning April 2013.

You can get it from Smashwords in a variety of formats for the princely sum of $0.99. It's also available on Kindle from Amazon - UK price is £0.77

Here's the back cover blurb:

After Jim unexpectedly ends up in bed with his teenage daughter’s best friend, he thinks his life’s over. Turns out, it’s just beginning.

A decade ago, Jim had it all. A thriving business, a beautiful wife and a bright, funny, confident daughter: Kiera. But when a tragic accident claimed his wife, Jim was forced to start over again; leaving everything behind to forge a new life and help his little girl overcome their loss.

That new life was tough for Jim: a single parent with no social life, still haunted by his own grief. But it was worth it. Because with the help of eight-year-old Kiera’s new friend Jadie – the bubbly, caring, girl next door – Jim saw his fragile daughter gradually regain her lust for life.

Now, ten years on, Kiera and Jadie are happy, clever, forward-thinking girls; eighteen years old and ready for anything the world can throw at them. Oh, and they’re both heartbreakingly beautiful, too.

But things are about to get complicated. Very complicated. Because, for the first time in a decade, Jim’s personal life – yeah, okay, his sex life – actually consists of more than just an internet connection and a box of tissues.

And Jadie’s somehow become a whole lot more than his daughter’s best friend…

This is the true story of Jim’s descent from respectable, devoted, loving father to morally-bankrupt, teen-deflowering reprobate. Sexy, funny and emotional – often all at once – it’s an unlikely love-story; a tale of one man’s battle with his heart, his conscience and his dick, in the face of the most filthily uninhibited sex he’s ever had.

Hello

Hello. I'm Jim. Just another average guy. Well, nearly. Average apart from being in a relationship with my daughter's best friend who's sixteen years younger than I am. That's more... lucky than average, I guess. Anyway. This is a page which links to stuff I've written about recent events in my crazy life. Don't follow any links if you're under 18 or easily offended.

Feel free to post comments and feedback on here about anything of mine that you've read. Please don't ask me to send you pictures of anyone, though. That ain't happening.

Cheers

Jim
